Purpose of Monofellows System
The objective of our Monofellows system is to "offer everyone a place to encounter wonderful (best matching) products" by "providing relevant information for prospective customers (buyers)."
Activities of Monofellows System
Currently our primary activities are as follows:
- Offering exclusive seminars for Monofellows
- Lending products to Monofellows for their exclusive try out
- Offering Monofellows priority invitation to various events*
*Note: The activities such as offering information about events held by other companies are not included as our activities of the Monofellows system, since we have no control over the content of the events.
Features of Monofellows System
As the most important feature of the Monofellows system, we take extra care in guaranteeing neutrality, accuracy, openness and fairness. And all participating Monofellows have been interviewed in person or telephone by our staff for identity verification.
Specifically, we require Monofellows and manufacturers to abide by the following rules when participating in our Monofellows system:
Guarantee of Neutrality
- Stakeholders of the product or service cannot participate.
- Monofellows who are committed to write a review on their product of interest may participate.
- Monofellows may write freely without restriction.
- Monofellows are not to be paid by WillVii. All lent products are to be returned. And Monofellows are not to be provided with advantages such as discounts. *
- No luxurious food will be served at seminars. Seminars will be held in a totally modest manner.
- Manufacturers are responsible for all actual shipping costs when lending a product.
*Basically, we do not provide overhead costs. However, when a seminar is held in a remote area, in rare occasions we may pay for actual transportation expenses. We may provide a small amount of expendable supplies when necessary for the reviewal of a product.
Guarantee of Accuracy
- To participate, Monofellows should have strong composition skills to accurately describe aspects of the product (such as good points and bad points).
- Conditions and evidences of the evaluation are to be included in each product review.
- The contents of a review cannot be altered, except when facts are misinterpreted.
- When a misinterpretation is found, the misdescribed part will be corrected (while the original misdescription must remain in view).
- To help the reviewers get to know as much about the product usability, we will lend products for an extended period of time when possible. (Approximately one month for home electronics.)
- In seminars, we ask the producer of the product himself/herself to talk about the story behind the development of the product and their aim as much as possible.*
*For our seminar, instead of just reusing press conference kits, we create new contents by conducting our unique consultation from a former product developer’s perspective, so our Monofellows can expect thorough presentation full of valuable information.
Guarantee of Openness & Fairness
- Monofellows are required to attach descriptive statements which explain the backgrounds of the reviewing system at the top and bottom of all review articles.
- We request Monofellows to link to our Monofellows system introduction page on every review article.
- As mentioned above, when a misinterpretation is found, the mistake will be corrected, but the original misdescription will remain in view.
